Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said ending terrorism requires unity among all political forces and support for law-enforcement institutions, adding Pakistan’s survival depends on collective responsibility and self-accountability.
Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar said all political forces must demonstrate unity to eliminate terrorism, and that this challenge cannot be overcome without collective responsibility. Speaking in the upper house on Monday, he said armed forces personnel make sacrifices daily for the country’s protection. He said no political party can claim it is free of mistakes, and stressed that electoral accountability or one-sided narratives do not help resolve a national crisis. He warned against turning politics into a field of mockery, sarcasm and accusations, saying such habits poison public debate and weaken national harmony. He said Pakistan’s armed forces, police personnel and ordinary citizens are making great sacrifices to protect the homeland. He asked political parties to support law-enforcement institutions rather than weaken them, and emphasized that defeating terrorism requires standing firmly with state institutions. He said Pakistan’s survival depends on collective responsibility, national unity and self-accountability.
